Dovecote approximately
50 metres north of
Castle End


Dovecote. Probably C17. Rubble with pyramidal tile roof. Octagonal plan.
Openings have plain reveals. On the north side is a doorway. On the west
side is a second, blocked, doorway. On the south side is an opening at a
higher level. Interior: said to be circular with honeycomb nesting boxes
in the upper parts of the walls. (RCHM, p 100).
