SO 52 SE

4/58 Barn approximately
75 metres south of
Hill Court

GV II

Barn. Early C19. Brick with some sandstone dressing and slate roof.
On each side there is a central gabled waggon entrance, with a wide door-
way with segmental arch and a window under the gable lighting an upper
room. Both long sides of the building have continuous outshuts. Most of
the doorways have segmental arched heads. The brickwork shows evidence for
some rebuilding. Interior: roof of seven bays with trusses mostly with
tie-beams and collars. The truss to the east of the entrance has two vertical
struts below the collar. The truss to the west is a C20 replacement.
