3/44 Bower Cottage

GV II
Cottage. Probably late C17 or early C18 with later alterations. Timber-
frame with plaster infill and concrete tile roof. Extruded end stack and
rear side stack in sandstone and brick. Three structural bays aligned
roughly east/west. One storey and attic. North elevation has one window,
a gabled dormer, with a 2-light C20 casement, to left-hand side. Two
contemporary 4-pane windows to left-hand side and one to right-hand side.
Entry in lean-to on south side. Interior has chamfered ceiling beams.
Trusses have queen struts to collars from tie-beams.
