Two cottages, now one. Probably late C17 or early C18 with later alterations.
Sandstone plinth, timber-frame with plaster infill. Thatched roofs. End
stacks with brick shafts. Rectangular plan, probably of three plus two bays,
aligned east/west. One storey and attic. North elevation has two windows,
2-light early C20 casements, each set in an eyebrow, one to each former
cottage. Ground floor has two casements, each of two lights to left cottage
and one to the right cottage. Thatched catslide porch at junction of two
cottages with ledged door. Frame is three square panels high from cill to
wal-plate and has angle struts to some wall-posts. Interior inaccessible
at time of re-survey (July 1986). (RCHM, Vol I, p 151).
