Cottage. Probably late C17 or early C18 with later extension and alterations.
Timber-frame with brick infill and sandstone rubble extension. Sandstone
rubble and brick end stack with detached brick shaft. Welsh slate and tiled
roofs. Two bays plus extension aligned roughly east/west. One storey and
attic. North elevation has two gabled dormers with 2-light late C20 glazing.
bar casements. Ground floor has two similar casements set in framing which
is two panels high from cill to wall-plate and has angle struts from two posts
to wall-plate. Entry with late C20 door to right of left-hand window. Extension
has another late C20 casement and door. Interior noted as having heavy ceiling
beams. (RCHM, Vol I, p 34).
