Farmhouse. Early C17 with mid-C19 and some late C20 alterations. Timber-
frame with painted brick infill and tile roof. T-plan, cross-wing aligned
north/south, other range extending to east, stack at junction with lobby
entrance in angle. South (garden) front: cross-wing to left of two storeys
with attic lit by gable-end casement, a 3-light casement to each floor; main
range to right has two windows: 3-light casements; ground floor: 3-light
casement to left, 2-light to right, both with plank weatherings; entrance
in angle has a lean-to tiled porch with half-glazed door. Framing: close-
studding to main range; cross-wing has close-studding on ground floor and
two square panels to first floor with straight angle braces. Interior: gypsum
floors in attic; the chimney stack included a smoking chamber. A number of
original doors, including on the first floor, a counter-boarded door with
diamond-pattern nailing.
