Canal bridge No 49 (between lock numbers 30 and 31)

Canal accommodation bridge, c1805 with some late C19 and mid-C20 repairs. Brick with stone copings. Semi-elliptical arch with band above, plain stone-coped parapet, a pilaster to each end of bridge. Responds repaired in blue brick to a small degree, as is parapet. Metal plate with No 49 in relief on east side.
