Farmhouse. Late C16 with late C18 and mid-C19 alterations. Timber-frame
with rendered infill, partly clad in painted brick. T-plan, north/south
cross-wing, long range to east. South front: gabled cross-wing to left is of
two storeys, a 2-light casement under segmental head on each floor; range
to right has three 2-light casements and a central gable; ground floor:
similar window arrangement; entrance to left of centre has wooden doorcase
with fluted pilasters and moulded cornice; glazed conservatory across most
of ground floor. Framing: visible to rear of cross-wing, two square panels
high to first floor, probably originally close-studded to ground floor;
truss has a strut to collar and a yoke, trenched purlins. Interior: ingle-
nook of central room has moulded mantel shelf; chamfered and stopped ceiling
beams.
