GV II

Churchyard cross. Probably C15, restored early C20. Sandstone ashlar.
Three-stepped square medieval base and square plinth with chamfered upper
corners to form octagonal upper face. Hexagonal early C20 shaft with
tabernacle head. On the west side of base is written "THIS ANCIENT/
CROSS IS RESTORED/ IN LOVING MEMORY/ OF' ? SIR EDWARD/ ? WOODGATE KC MC/
WHO FELL AT SPION/ JAN 24 1900".
