Rectory, now flats. Mid-C18 with mid-C19 alterations. Brick with hipped
plain tiled roofs; tall brick end stacks and central ridge stack. Part
three storeys with three-course bands between storeys; part two storeys;
dentilled eaves cornices. 1:3:1 bays; central part is earlier in date and
of three storeys high. Windows all have cambered heads and are 12-pane
sashes on ground and first floor (those on the ground floor of the outer
bays are replaced by plain sashes); 6-pane sashes on second floor of central
part. Main entrance to right of central part has an open pediment and
pilastered surround, raised and fielded panelled reveals and soffit, a door
with six raised and fielded panels and a traceried fanlight. Interior noted
as having retained its ceiling mouldings, window shutters and woodwork.
A C20 conservatory adjoins the right end. (BoE, p 78; VCH 3 (i), p 11).
