SO 97 NW BELBROUGHTON CP HARTLE

Pair of houses. c1700 with mid-C19 alterations. Part timber-framed with
brick infill, replacement walling and refacing, part brick; plain tiled roof
with large ridge stack and small stack to rear right. Two storeys and attic
with dentilled eaves cornice. Three bays; ground floor windows have cambered
heads; two 2-light casements and a 3-light casement in an enlarged opening;
two 2-light casements and a cross-casement at first floor. Ledged and battened
door with cambered head to left; other entrance between central and right bay
has gabled canopy on shaped brackets and a 4-panelled door. Some wall-framing
and collar and tie-beam truss with struts at left gable end; remains of similar
truss at right gable end. Attic lights at both gable ends. Interior said to
have back-to-back fireplaces.
