6/49 The Old Toll House


Toll house, now house. Early C19 with late C20 alterations and addition.
Brick; hipped slate roof of shallow pitch with overhanging eaves on shaped
brackets; two brick ridge stacks with oversailing cap courses. Narrow
rectangular three-bay plan. Single storey. West front elevation: central
canted bay; 2-light casements; central blocked doorway. Interior not inspected.
C20 wing to rear left with present main entrance. Also C20 addition to rear
