6/76 Clent House Farmhouse
Farmhouse, now house. Dated 1760 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations.
Brick with slate roof and end stacks. Two storeys and attic with dormers;
chamfered plinth and dentilled eaves cornice. Five bays; the central bay
is wider than the outer bays; windows all have rusticated lintels, large
moulded keyblocks and are cross-casements; three gabled dormers with
moulded bargeboards and 2-light casements; central entrance has a moulded
flat canopy on shaped brackets, a partly-glazed C20 door and a transom
light with latticed glazing bars. There is a datestone above the central
first floor window inscribed "A/ WW/ 1760". Attic lights in gable ends.
Interior noted as having retained its open well staircase with turned
balusters and moulded, wreathed handrail. The building was originally the
home farmhouse to Clent House (now demolished) which belonged to the Amphlett
