Farmhouse, now house. C17 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations and additions.
Timber-framed with painted brick infill, brick replacement walling and additions;
plain tiled roof. Two framed bays aligned east/west; large central chimney with
brick ridge stack; additional bay at east end continues roofline. Single storey
and attic with dormers. Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate, collar
and tie-beam truss with struts and V-strut in apex at west end. North front
elevation: ground floor has a 2-light and two 3-light C19 casements with metal
bars and ornate catches; three gabled dormers with 2-light C20 leaded casements;
main entrance to left of central bay has a gabled canopy and C20 door. Interior:
main ceiling beams are stop-chamfered; back-to-back fireplaces (only one of
original size); dog-leg staircase with slender spiral balusters. There is a
C20 hipped-roofed addition at the east end.
