House. C17. Remodelled early C19 with mid-C20 alterations. Brick, painted
at sides and rear; plain tiled roof with decorative ridge tiles and several
C19 stacks with oversailing cap courses; the refronted entrance elevation
has a flat roof behind an embattled parapet. Two storeys and attic. Four
bays; windows are 12-pane sashes with cambered heads and large keyblocks;
outer bays of ground floor have canted bay window additions with plain parapets
and plain sash windows. Main entrance in second bay has a pediment, a fluted
pilastered surround and an 8-panelled door. Attic light in east gable end.
Interior not inspected. There is a small amount of timber-framing surviving
at the centre of the rear elevation. C19 and C20 additions at rear. The
building is said to stand on the site of a priory.
