House. Early Cl7; restored mid-C20. Timber-framed with brick and rendered
infill on brick and sandstone base; plain tiled roof. Two framed bays aligned
north-west/south-east; large chimney to rear south-west elevation with rebuilt
stack. Single storey and attic with dormers. Framing: three panels from sill
to wall-plate, long straight braces in some lower corners and also short straight
braces in some upper corners; collar and tie-beam trusses with three struts to
collar and V-strut in apex. North-east entrance elevation: lean-to with cat-
slide roof added to almost full extent of elevation; ground floor has a 3-light,
a 2-light and a single-light casement; three gabled dormers with 2-light case-
ments; main entrance at right end of lean-to has a C20 door. Attic light at
north-west end. Interior: framing mainly intact; transverse main ceiling beam
in south-east bay and longitudinal main ceiling beam in north-west bay. Lean-
to addition at north-west gable end.
