Farmhouse, now house. Late C16 with mid-C18, mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations.
Part timber-framed with brick infill and with brick refacing and additions;
plain tiled roof. L-plan of two framed bays aligned east/west; large external
chimney with offsets and detached brick stack at west gable end; framed single-
bay wing to rear north side of east bay; C18 bay added at east gable end when
building was refronted to form symmetrical facade. Two storeys with dentilled
eaves cornice. Framing: visible at west gable end and rear wing. Close-set
studding; short straight brace in upper corner of west end; collar and tie-
beam trusses with closely set struts; rear wing has swept V-strut in apex.
South front elevation: two ground and first floor 3-light casements; central
first floor 2-light casement; central C20 gabled brick porch has a 3-light
casement with cambered head at its front gable end, a 2-light casement in the
right side and a C20 door in the left side. Interior: cross-frames of main
part survive and much of rear wing; roof structure said to have been altered.
Large fireplace in west bay. There is a C19 wing to the rear of the west bay
and a lean-to at the rear of the C18 east bay.
