House. Early C19 with mid-C20 alterations. Stuccoed brick with partly
hipped, shallow-pitched slate roofs and large rear stacks. Two storeys.
Three bays; outer bays have 16-pane sashes and central bay as a 12-pane
sash on both floors. Large 16-pane sash on both floors at right gable end.
Main entrance in wing to rear right built at 45 degree angle to main part
and lower in height; two storeys; two bays; windows are all 12-pane sashes;
central entrance has cast iron porch (swept canopy missing at time of survey,
June 1985) and a 6-panelled door. At the right end the building extends
north (again returning from the 45 degree angle) and continuing the lower
roofline; this part has C20 casements with cambered heads (one on the ground
floor and two on the first floor), a C20 bow window and a slate-roofed
verandah. Interior not inspected. The house was originally built as part of
