House. Early Cl7; restored mid-C20. Timber-framed with rendered infill on
sandstone ruble and brick-plinth; painted brick refacing, replacement walling
and additions; machine-tiled roof. Four framed bays aligned north-east/south-
west with framed single-bay intersecting wing at south-west end. Single
storey and attic with dormers. Framing: mainly three panels from sill to
wall-plate, short straight braces in upper corners; collar and tie-beam
trusses; truss at south-west end of main part has three struts to collar
and V-strut in apex; truss at west end and also wing truss to north-west
has two struts to collar. North-west street elevation: windows are C20
leaded casements; ground floor of main part has a 3-light and a 2-light
window with plank weatherings, another 2-light window and also a large
square-headed archway in the north-east end bay; four gabled dormers with -
2-light windows; main entrance to right has a lean-to porch in angle with
wing and a C20 door. Interior not inspected. C20 alterations and additions
at rear.
