Wall about 10 yards
west of The Old House

Wall. Mid-C19. Brick with sandstone coping. About 25 yards long and vary-
ing between about 5½ feet and 2½ feet high. Octagonal piers at each end
with sandstone capping and ball finials. The wall runs about five yards from
each end pier to a smaller pier, square in section with bullnosed corners.
Between these smaller piers the wall is only 2 1/2 feet high. The wall separates
the entrance front of The Old House (qv) from the street and forms an integral
part of this street elevation. Included for group value.
