Pair of houses. Early C19 with mid-C20 alterations and additions. Brick, plain tiled roofs with end stacks.

Three storeys with dentilled eaves cornice. Two plus two bays; windows have moulded architraves; ground and first floor windows have cambered heads and are twelve-pane sashes; second floor windows are nine-pane sashes. Central entrance to No 46 retains its open pediment on fluted consoles and a raised and fielded six-panelled door with traceried fanlight. Central entrance to No 44 is a C20 replica of the original doorcase and is now blocked; present entrance is situated in adjoining wall about six feet long and ten feet high and has a cambered head and C20 six-panelled door. There is a Norwich Union fire insurance mark between the first floor windows on both houses.

Interior: original ceiling mouldings and woodwork survive. Open well staircases at rear rising to second floor with slender columnar newels and moulded handrails. Full-height hipped rear wings accommodate the staircases and have long round-headed multi-paned stair lights.
