House, now public house. C16, refronted late C18 with some late C20
alterations. Timber-frame clad in painted brick, slate roof, gable end
stack. Two storeys, dentilled brick cornice; two windows: 2-light case-
ments; ground floor: 3-light casements under segmental heads; entrance
to right of centre has a wooden architrave, segmental head and ledged and
boarded doors (the left door of this pair is the entrance to a passageway).
Interior: exposed beams of two framed bays; trusses: two raking struts to
collar and trenched purlins; framing is C16 in character, particularly the
roof trusses.
