Four houses. Mid-C18 with mid-C19 and some late C20 alterations. Brick with
tile roof, rear stacks. Three storeys on cellars, dog tooth brick cornice,
five windows: wooden cross-windows under segmental heads of redder brick than
rest of front, with blue headers, window to left, and that to right of centre,
both C20 windows; second floor: 2-light casements, a number of them retaining
contemporary rectangular leaded lights; ground floor: four windows as on
first floor, entrance to left (no 52) approached by two steps has a flat
canopy, wooden architrave, blind overlight and six flush panel door; passage-
way to centre has a wooden architrave, blind overlight and a ledged and boarded
door, entrance to no 53 in left wall of passage; entrance to no 55 to right of
passage has three steps, a flat canopy, wooden architrave and four flush panel
door, upper two panels glazed; entrance to 55A at right corner, reached by
three steps, has a flat canopy, wooden architrave and four flush panel door,
upper two panels glazed.
