House, now shop and flat. Probably early C17, refronted late C18 with
some mid-C20 alterations. Probably timber-frame clad in brick with machine
tile roof. Three storeys, dentilled brick cornice; two windows: glazing
bar sashes under flat arches with stepped voussoirs; second floor: 4-pane
sashes under similar heads; ground floor: C20 tiled shop front, entrance
to shop slightly to right of centre with wooden architrave, overlight and
glazed door, plate glass shop window to left; to right entrance to passage
which has a wooden architrave, blind overlight and a ledged and boarded
door. A console bracket to a former first floor jetty is visible in the
passageway against no 50 (qv) adjoining to right.
