Part of house, now shop and offices. Early C17, refronted late C18, with
late C20 alterations. Timber-frame clad in brick, hipped tile roof. Three
storeys; four windows: glazing bar sashes under rubbed brick heads with stone
sills; second floor: as first floor; ground floor: C20 shop front of four
panes to left, to right recessed entrance with three glazed doors, to right-
hand corner a C20 panelled door leading to staircase. Framing: extensive
areas of framing visible on first and second floor, including close-studding
with mid-rail, and traces of jetty to second floor. No 50 (qv) was a part
of the same structure, and probably no 49 (qv) as well. (Report on building
National Monuments Record 1976).
