House, now two shops and flats. Early C18 with early C19 and some mid-C20
alterations. Brick with tile roof. Three storeys, dentilled brick cornice,
band to first floor; two windows: plate glass sashes under segmental heads;
second floor: 9-pane sashes; ground floor: passage to left corner has entrance
approached by three stone steps, with 2-pane overlight and a ledged and boarded
door; two canted bay windows, that to left filled with plate glass, to right
a 16-pane sash to the front; entrance to no 27 to left of left-hand window
approached by four stone steps has a wooden architrave and glazed door;
to right (no 28) entrance approached by stone steps has a wooden architrave,
blind 3-panel overlight and glazed door.
