House, now two shops and two flats. Early C17 refronted early C18 with
some mid-C19 and late C20 alterations. Timber-frame clad in brick with
slate roof, central stack. Three storeys, dentilled brick cornice, five
windows: boxed glazing bar sashes, painted rubbed brick heads with key-
stones; second floor: similar with 9-pane sashes, that to centre and to
right blind; ground floor: flat canopy across whole front, passage to
left hand corner has a plain wooden architrave and an early C18 boarded
door, shop front to left (no 19) is pilastered with multi-pane window,
entrance to left has wooden architrave, 2-pane overlight, half-glazed
door; shop front to right (no 20) is symmetrical with two plate glass
windows flanking a central recessed entrance with half-glazed door. To
rear there is exposed timber-framing with carved decoration and quadrant
decorative braces to square panels. Interior (of no 20): open well stair-
case with turned balusters from first floor.
