House, now offices. 1636 with early C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Timber-
frame with lath and plaster infill, and tile roof. U-plan. Three storeys,
projecting gabled wings, gable to main range, all the tie-beams jettied on
consoles, jetty to first floor; three windows: two 5-light casements, 4-
light casement to right; second floor: two 3-light casements, 4-light case-
ment to right; ground floor: carriage entrance to left; two shop fronts to
rest, central shop front early C19 infill between projecting wings with flat
roof, two shallow bows with wooden pilasters, central entrance with engaged
columns to doorcase, and a two-leaf half-glazed door, to right pilastered
shop front with plate glass shop front and half-glazed door to right.
Framing: close-studding with mid-rail, gables have close-studding below
collar with a king-post above. The date is carved on the tie-beam of the
central gable.
