House. Early C17 with mid-C19 and some mid-C20 alterations. Timber-frame
with rendered infill on stuccoed brick, slate roof. Two storeys with attic
lit by casements in the two gables which have cusped and pierced bargeboards;
three windows to first floor, 4-light C19 casements with plank weatherings
and sill supported on C17 scroll brackets; ground floor: two windows, glazing
bar sashes with segmental head to upper sash, two-leaf external wooden
shutters, central entrance has Tudor arch with label, recessed 6-panel door,
upper four glazed; entrance to a passage at right corner has a moulded wooden
architrave and a C17 boarded door. Framing: small portions replaced in c19,
and removed on ground floor, close-studded with mid-rail; wall-plate slightly
jettied with moulded soffit.
