House, now shop and flat. 1637, refronted late C18 with late C19 and some
mid-C20 alterations. Timber-frame clad in brick with tile roof, gable end
stacks. Three storeys, dentilled brick cornice, two windows: sashes with
tripartite glazing under segmental heads; second floor: 2-light easements;
ground floor: central entrance to shop with half-glazed door, 3-light shop
window to left of entrance, a 4-pane sash to right forming part of shop
window, all under shallow flat canopy on scroll brackets; left-hand corner:
entrance has a wooden architrave and a plain door, doorhead in situ is
decorated with a centrally placed shield bearing the inscription "R/ RM/
1637" in relief. Interior: a number of chamfered and stopped beams are
visible.
