GV II

Barn, cow house and probably stables, now garage, barn and granary. Mid-C17
with mid-C18 extension and some mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Sandstone
ashlar, with machine tile and old tile roof. T-plan, stem extending to south
with earliest part at south (C17). West front: cross-wing to left has a stone
coped verge and is of two storeys, remainder to right also two storeys; the
earliest part to the right is quoined in a lighter coloured sandstone, straight
jointed to later part; gabled wing to left has a loft door over two 2-light case-
ments flanking a garage door; next part is barn with a central large door; C17
part to right has two loft doors, ground floor has two entrances which have 4-
centred heads with keystones and impost blocks, each flanked by two oval windows;
centrally placed a tablet with a much eroded armorial bearing, reported to be
that of the Herbert family. Home Farmhouse is not included in this list.
