Farmhouse. Probably C15, extended 1611 with some mid-C19 and late C20
alterations. Timber-frame with painted brick and rendered infill, and
machine tile roof. Aligned north-east/south-west with cross-wing to
northern end. North-west front: two-storey cross-wing to left dated 1611;
a 3-light casement to each floor, date carved in gable stud; jettied tie-
beam. Lateral external stack of rubble and brick has two-diamond plan brick
shafts. Framing: three square panels high to first floor, close-studded to
ground floor, both with straight tension braces. Range to right of one
storey has entrance at left-hand end, which has a C19 pilastered wooden
doorcase with 3-pane overlight, to right of which is a 3-light casement.
Framing: mostly close-studding. Interior: panelled room in cross-wing with
fluted frieze; pair of dragons to overmantel.
