Country house, now flats. Mid-C18 with some mid-C20 extensions and late
C20 alterations. Brick with stone dressings and tile roof. Entrance (west)
front: three storeys, brick coped parapet, modillioned stone cornice, stone
coped verges, ashlar quoins. Seven windows: 15-pane sashes under rubbed
brick heads with keystones and stone sills. Second floor with 6-pane sashes.
Central entrance has stone doorcase with engaged Droic columns and pediment.
A contemporary service wing to left extended forwards in mid-C20, to right
a wing of 1930s. Garden (east) front: three storeys, central break forward
pedimented, modillioned stone eaves cornice, ashlar quoins to corners. Two
plus one plus two windows: central window Venetian with stone architrave,
flanking windows with stone architraves and consoles to stone sills. All
are 15-pane sashes. Second floor with 6-pane sashes with a central Diocletian
window. Central entrance in Venetian pattern. Projecting wings on each side
with three semi-circular headed niches. Interior: staircase has iron twist
balusters and carved tread ends. (BoE, p 292; Reid, P: Burke's and Savills
