Farmhouse, now a private house. C17, parallel rear extension mid C19.
Timber frame cased in red brickwork, tilehung upper floor at front with
bands of scalloped tiles. Steep old red tile roof with bellcast front
eaves. A 2-storeys, 2-cells, internal-chimney, lobby entry plan house
facing N with lower rear extension. 2 windows to each floor of
assymetrical front, with small gables over the upper windows. 3-light
flush casement windows, C18 on 1st floor with iron opening casements.
Rebuilt red brick W end. Single-storey dark weatherboarded, tiled rear
wing at SW. Pump on rear wall. Well in rear garden. Interior has timber
frame defining a large W room with axial beam: a short chimney bay and
a narrow E room, enlarged by cutting back the old large chimney and
altering the partition to the entrance lobby. C17 panelling with
strapwork decoration. Part of C17 staircase with turned balusters
survives. Chamfered and stopped beams. (Roberts(1975)No.9).
