GV II

Barns and stables. C17 with C18 and C19 additions. Timber frames on
brick sills, dark weatherboarded with steep old red tile roofs. Red
brick wall on N with flint panels. A courtyard of farm buildings with
entrance from SW corner. Tall barn on E side with gabled porch on E in
middle bay and single door in same bay on W (with inserted mullioned and
transomed window over) flanked by lean-to stables. Tall barn on N side.
Lower stable on roadside. C17 3-bay SE stable with jowled posts, curved
braces, and clasped purlin roof. Long S stable later C17 with jowled
posts and clasped purlin roof.
