GV II

Barn. C16, moved from nearer road in C20. Timber frame on red brick
sill, dark weatherboarded with steep old red tile roof. A tall 3-bays
barn facing W with double doors on opposite sides of middle bay. Jowled
posts of large scantling with long curved braces to cambered tie-beams.
Queen-strut and collar trusses to clasped-purlin roof with very wide
flat rafters. Alternating wide and narrow studs in walls and deep
mid-height rail tenoned in-line. Slots for wind braces now absent.
