Farmhouse, now 2 private houses. Late C16, NE extension C18, brick cased
in C19. W end extension 1938. Timber frame cased in red brick (white
painted on E side of crosswing facing the road). Yellow brick W end.
Steep old red tile roofs. Hipped parallel roofs to NE extension. A
2-storeys L-shaped house facing S with 2-storeys E crosswing and
2-storeys W extension with a gable on its S face. Lobby entry next very
large internal chimney at junction with crosswing. 6 windows long S
front. Casement windows and 2 doors. Dark weatherboarded single-storey
outhouses with steep red tiled roof extends to W from W gable. E front
has 3-light flush casement window to each floor and door to RH. 2
storeys NE extension has one 2-light casement window with timber lintel
to 1st floor and 2 on ground floor. Large gable chimney and
weatherboarded lean-to. Jowled posts with clasped-purlin roof on
tie-beam and collar trusses and wind bracing. N gable of crosswing has
exposed frame of clasped-purlin roof brick-nogged with diminished
principals and central strut. Hall has chamfered axial beam and 2-panel
door from lobby entrance.
