House, now a surgery. Circa 1740, rewindowed and NW extension mid C19.
Red brick with coved wooden eaves cornice and steep hipped old red tile
roof. 2 storeys, double pile, end chimneys plan house facing E, with 2
projecting chimneys with offsets on each end wall, and staircase central
at rear. 3 windows wide symmetrical E front with 6 stone steps to
central door. Flat gauged arches to both floors, recessed sash windows
with plastered reveals, 6/6 panes in middle and triple sashes to each
side. Flared front steps in Portland stone with moulded nose and cast
iron railings. Unusual wooden doorcase with unfluted Greek Doric half
pillars with entablature in form of a bracketed panelled hood. 5 panel
fielded door with bullion lights c.1900. Interior has largely early C19
joinery and staircase.
