Gate, piers and steps. Early C18. Wrought iron, red brick piers with
stone copings, moulded stone steps. A single gate with iron standards
and overthrow between 3M tall square red brick piers set in an older
garden wall of same height. 2 stone steps lead down into garden on E.
Gate has dog-bars in bottom panel, scrolled lock rail, twisted points
above, rectangular standards spaced 1 bar from piers have elaborate
scrolled infill and the tops range with the head of the gate. Scrolled
finials above each standard and taller one over gate with a Chinese fret
in centre.
