Farmhouse. C17 or earlier centre, late C18 N parlour block, mid C19
single-storey S wing. Timber frame with painted brick infill to centre,
painted brick in Flemish-bond N parlour, painted coursed flint with
brick dressings to S wing. Steep old red tiled roofs, grey on parlour
block. A long L-shaped block facing W generally of 2-storeys, set back
from road and with yard to rear. Central part of W front has 3 bays of
exposed framing with 8:6:4 panels and projecting SW corner post as if
the building formerly extended further to S. One window to each bay with
small-panes casements. 3 C20 flush casement windows to ground floor.
Plank door with dripboard. One window on each floor of projecting N
parlour block. A 12-lights flush casement over a 3-lights window with
segmental arch. Large N gable chimney to centre block now enclosed in
parlour wing with its own rear-wall chimney. Lower rear wing extends to
rear of parlour. 3-windows lower S wing has small chimney in front
roofslope.
