Farmhouse, now a private house. Early C18 for University College Oxford.
Sandy red brick limewashed. Steep old red tile hipped roof. A 2 1/2-storeys
and cellar Queen Anne style rectangular house facing S in large garden.
Single-storey rear wing at NW of colourwashed brick and flint with slate
roof. Central entrance, end-chimneys plan with stair at rear. Internal
gable chimneys, of 3 flues at W and 2 at E. Symmetrical S front with
plinth, plat-band, and corbelled brick eaves course. 3 gabled dormers at
eaves. 3-lights, small-pane, casements windows under segmental arches,
taller on ground floor. Large gabled open timber porch on brick piers.
Half-glazed C19 panelled door. Cellar under E part. Prominent position
next churchyard at start of older part of village.
