House, now a shop. C16. E crosswing on roadside has C19 brick casing
with shop window. Timber frame with red brick infill and weatherboarded
E gable top above roof of painted brick front crosswing. Steep old red
tile roofs. A tall 2-storeys main range facing N with large internal
chimney and lower 2-storeys W crosswing on roadside. This front has a
corbelled and dentil eaves band, a recessed sash window with 3/3 panes
on 1st floor, stucco plinth, half-glazed door with moulded flat hood on
left of small shop window with fascia. Structurally the crosswing
extends a bay to S in No. 8 and the house may have formed part of the
former Bell Inn on S.
