Inn, now a private house, with cottage in former stable at rear. Mid C18, stable C19. An Inn until 1967. Fine red brickwork and low stucco plinth, stable plum brick, tilehanging to upper floor of rear wing on S side. Steep old red tile roofs, main range has a gambrel rear slope and pitched front slope. Symmetrical, 3-storeys, 3 windows wide, central entrance, end chimneys plan with stair central at rear and cranked 2-storeys rear service wing at SW. East front has 2-light small paned Yorkshire sliding casements to 2nd floor, recessed sash windows with 8/8 panes on 1st floor, and 2 triple-sash segmental bowed oriels windows to ground floor with 3/2: 9/6: 3/2 panes each. Flat gauged arches to all windows. Elaborate wooden doorcase with triangular dentilled pediment on fluted Doric pilasters, panelled reveals and archivolt, fan pattern semi-circular fanlight, moulded transom carried across reveals and entablature of pilasters, and 3-panels fielded door with top glazed.
