War Memorial
TQ 1096 NE 7/32


Erected circa 1925 in front of Peace Memorial Hospital and re-erected here. Three
cast bronze figures on a Portland stone base. Sculptor Mary Pownall Bromet. Central
standing male nude with outstretched arm, 'Victory', with seated nude figures, to
left 'To the Fallen' dated 1914, to right 'To the Wounded' dated 1916.
