(west side)

5/82 The Cottage



Former mill house, now disused. Early C19. Red brick. Plain
tile hipped roof with left and right centre stacks. Red brick.
3 storeys. 3 sash window with flush wood frames in cambered
heads. Central flush panel door with flat hood on fluted
brackets, flanked by panel pilasters. N elevation has canted 3-
storey bay window with some blank windows and mid C19 ground
floor porch. Rear extension and single storey outbuilding on S
of same date. Windows to early part have C19 iron bars below
sills as strengtheners.
