Stable block, now garage. Late C19, probably c.1893-4 by Sir
Ernest George and Yates. Jacobean style. Red brick with diaper
pattern blue headers. Plain tile roofs. U plan block with
entrance on SE. This has central gateway flanked by polygonal
bastions with curvilinear gables and slit windows. Walls each
side with small mullioned casements. L-shaped house attached on
left with similar gables and windows. Courtyard central
elevation has 3 gables with small crowning pediments. Above
archway is canted oriel. Clock tower on ridge has wooden base
with Ionic corner columns. Tall chimney stacks with relief
panels. Mullioned and transomed leaded casements. Side wings
terminate in 2-storey stable blocks with twin gables on NE walls.
Central cast iron gates with brick and stone-banded piers.
