House. Early C17. Extended and altered C19 and C20. Timber frame with
brick additions, all rendered, sham timber framing applied. Tiled roofs.
Originally an L shaped plan of 3 x 2 bays with a projecting staircase
wing extended to form a square block with multiple gables. 2 storeys. 2
bay entrance front with large gable to left of centre which is front end
of original bay cross wing extending to rear, smaller lower gable to
left is C20. C20 projecting entrance porch. C20 leaded 3 and 4 light
casements, sham framing, exposed plates and purlins in gable. Large C17
stack with 2 flues, originally on left end wall now on ridge of later
small gable. Left return has low C20 block towards front. Original stair
wing to centre with an entrance. To rear a C19 or C20 gable ended block
with 2 light casements, sham framing. Right gable end has painted sham
framing. Filling inner angle of L to rear right is a C19 or C20 block
with 3 light casements. 1 storey hipped outshut to rear. Interior:
ground floor ovolo moulded binding beam, original stairs, moulded jowled
post, braces in walling, clasped purlin roof with windbraces.
