Canal Ironworks. Cast-iron square pier, one and a half metres high,
painted white. Chamfered corners. Pyramid top. City of London crest on
necking. Raised lettering on front face of shaft '24 and 25 Vic/Cap 42'.
Marked extent of coal duty to boundaries of Metropolitan Police
