Public house. Probably C17 in origins, much enlarged early C19, extended
and altered C20. Probable timber frame to core. Rendered stock brick
casing and extensions. Tiled roofs. 1 bay of early building survives.
Main range is 2 windows, 2 storeys. Central entrance with rectangular
fanlight, flanking sashes in reveals, banded rusticated ground floor
with low relief panels of rose ornament. First floor sashes in reveals.
Boxed eaves. Pyramidal roof. To right earlier bay is lower with a
steeply pitched roof. 1 sash to front. Dentilled brick eaves. Cross
axial stack. C20 lower outbuilding further right. Sashes on right return
and to rear. Lean-to on left return with entrance, a ground floor
horizontal sliding sash and first floor sash. Stack to rear left.
Interior: chamfered ground floor binding beam, first floor not inspected.
