War Memorial Statue of a Lion crushing an Eagle. 1921. By W. Reid Dick.
Bronze. This statue originally surmounted an ashlar pylon, see War
Memorial, CHURCH STREET, but was separated when the whole was moved from
its original site at the W end of the High Street and now stands on a
brick pedestal of 1978.
